Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

It is impossible to leave Vietnam before visiting Nha Trang. This is only if you are a beach lover. Nha Trang is a city situated 9 hours by train north of Saigon with a beautiful large beach and lots of tourists, mostly Russians.

Although the city itself is not very impressive, the beach and the beach area is a very relaxing place.

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

A big chunk of the beach is administrated by a Russian company and occupied by Russian tourists and it is arranged somehow in an occidental style. It is much cleaner and for some reasons you won’t find any Vietnamese there; probably because it is a little bit more expensive.

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

As you can see in the picture above there are no street vendors, everything is lighted, and of course it is much cleaner than in other areas of the beach.

Alongside the beach there is the main tourist area which is fulfilled with restaurants, hotels, and souvenir shops ... and Russians!

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

There are many trips organized from Nha Trang to different islands around; one of them is the famous Vinpearl Island. Everybody said that it is like a “pearl” but I find it very boring and very artificial. I do like the aquarium and the way back to Nha Trang on the cable cart which offered a spectacular view.

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

On the last day I decided to go on the beach very early to see the sunrise but unfortunately it was a very cloudy morning. Instead of sunrise I capture a beautiful photograph of an ambulant seller looking for customers at 5.30 am.

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

There is a shipwreck somewhere on the beach, I couldn’t figure out if it is placed there as a tourist attraction or it is a real wreck, but it seemed to be a great place for taking photos. Since there were a site around it makes me believe that the wreck won’t stay there long time.

Visiting Nha Trang, Vietnam

Nha Trang is a hot spot to foreign and domestic tourist particularly during Lunar New Year and public holidays when the prices explode. Personally, I will go there again but for sure not during holidays.
