Length of the lesson: 40 minutes
Show the students the picture below and ask them to come to the board and write the ingredients they see in the picture. The teacher adds the missing ingredients and other vocabulary words that are important for the understanding of the lesson to form the vocabulary list as it is presented below the picture.
You might want to have pictures for all vocabulary items.

The teacher reads the recipe twice then he asks a student to come to the board and write the recipe after dictation. It is a little time consuming but they should have the recipe written in their notebooks.
First slice the sausage and the garlic then slice the red pepper and the green onion.
In a pan stir-fry the sausages and the garlic in a little olive oil for 5 minutes then add about 75 ml of water, and salt and pepper. Cover the pan with a lid and wait for about 10 minutes.
Remove the lid and add the red pepper and the green onion. Stir for about 5 minutes until there is no water left. At the end add the soy sauce.
Replace the ingredients with your own ingredients to create a new recipe. Write it in your notebook then read it for your class.
