If you are interested in different religions then visiting Cao Dai temple will be a rewarding experience. Cao Dai is a religion that incorporates elements from Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam (and probably others).
The inside is multicolored but it is dominated by pink and yellow.
Men have to enter into the praying area on the right side and women on the left side. Of course, shoes have to be removed before entering the temple.
The praying ceremony that I have assisted started at 12 o’clock and visitors were welcomed to watch from the balcony which runs the entire length of the temple.
The traditional gongs are now accompanied by different musical instruments during the praying time.
Cao Dai Temple is located at about 100 km northwest of Saigon. I went there by motorbike (about 2-3 hour ride) but there are cheap trips organized by most of the tourism agencies from Saigon.
